Christ in the Alphabet – G
Good morning. This is Judy and today we continue our Christ in the Alphabet devotion series with the letter “G.” Christ is the “Gate” – to eternal life. By believing on Him, we can enter this gateway to Heaven.
Christ is the “Good” Shepherd and we are his sheep. A shepherd does his work out of love and as such, Christ is committed to love and even to lay down his life for us. Christ is our “Giver” of life and of every Good thing.
He is “Gentle” and kind, our “Grace” and truth, and a “Good” and “Great God.” He is a miracle-working God. Christ is our “Guide.” As we travel through life, we need both “Guidance” and a “Guide.” The Bible is our roadmap and the Holy Spirit is our constant companion and “Guide.”
Let Us Pray
Gracious God, You are so gentle and kind to us. You are the giver of every good thing and of life, both physical and eternal. You are a great and awesome God who works miraculous wonders in our lives. Jesus, you are our guide and our way. You are our Good Shepherd and it is your desire for each of us to enter the Gates of Glory to live forever with you, our loved ones, and the saints of old. Together we will praise you forever because you alone are worthy to be praised. In your name we make our prayer. AMEN
