Christ in the Alphabet – “N”
Good morning. This is Judy and today we continue our Christ in the Alphabet devotion series by looking at the letter “N.”. The name of Jesus Christ is not simply a name. Jesus is the “Name above all names.”
There is no other name but the name of Jesus by which we can be saved. His name is enough to invoke any attribute of God that we will ever need to address any situation. There is nothing He cannot handle. James 4:3 says, “…draw near to God.”
Regardless of what we are facing, Christ is always near and He never fails. When we pray, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we are saying by the authority of Jesus Christ. No other name is all-powerful, never-failing, and always near. If you don’t feel as close to Jesus as you once did, guess who moved? Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.
Let Us Pray
Jesus, Name above and over all names, hear our prayer today. We know we are never alone for your Word says that you will never leave us nor forsake us.
Just as you told the lame man to rise up and walk, help us also to rise up and walk as we go through this journey we call life. We are to never be afraid for you are always near, walking with us each step of the way. Thank you, Lord, for this promise. We make our prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. AMEN
