Christ in the Alphabet – “U”

Good morning to all. This is Judy with our weekly Christ in the Alphabet Devotion series. Today we will look at the letter “U.” Christ is “Undefiled.” – meaning He is Holy, pure, blameless, and set apart from sinners and is therefore to be exalted far above the heavens.

He is the source of “unlimited” atonement. Our sin was laid upon Him at the crucifixion and His righteousness was given to us at our conversion. Christ is the “unchanging” One. Stability does not mean lack of change, but moving with God in every circumstance.

Christ is “unmatchable.” There is no one equal to Him. Don’t limit God’s work in your life. Never underestimate His power and His unconditional love. To gain spiritual understanding, we have to listen not only with our ears, but also with our minds and our hearts. Listening to God means not merely listening but also obeying.

Christ wants everyone to live in “Unity.” Those who share a common faith in Christ should cooperate with each other, especially in the field of ministry. People don’t have to be just like you to be following Jesus with you.

Let Us Pray

Lord, Thank you for your unconditional love, your unspeakable gift. You are a pure and Holy God. Help us to live our lives in peace and harmony, or unity, with one another.

Lord, as humans, there are times when we feel so useless. It is then we should stop and remember that you can use each of us in a special, unique way if we fully trust you. You can use us to make a difference in someone’s life. Lord, turn our feelings of uselessness into usefulness.

If we are truly dedicated to you, you can use us as possible instruments for your glory. You will see every unselfish act we do and will reward us accordingly. In your name we pray.
AMEN
