“Then the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” Revelation 19:9
I knew a minister who was relaxing at home one Saturday when he heard a knock at the door. There stood a man in a tuxedo who had a question: “Pastor, everyone is waiting at the church; are you coming to the wedding?”
There is a day coming that we only get one opportunity to experience, and we must be ready. It is an appointment that we all shall keep, and no one needs to dread it if we know the perfect Love of Christ.
Heaven is the home of those who want to be there, and those who want to be there are getting ready to go. What would the world look like if we wanted Heaven as much as God wants us to have it?
John saw a vision of Beulah Land, (the land of marriage). The people were described as a Bride adorned for her Husband. When the music begins (or the trumpet sounds) everyone in the wedding takes their place, because ready or not, the Bridegroom is on the way.
I am amazed at the way people travel the world. We know that it requires preparation to go to another country. You accept the fact that you must have a passport, so you do what is necessary to get it. We have an invitation to a wedding in Heaven. Do you have your passport? Is it “up to date?”
“Are you going to be there,
Are you going to be there,
At the great marriage supper of the Lamb?
With your wedding garment on,
Will you meet the loved ones gone,
At the great marriage supper of the Lamb?”
Grace and Peace, Rev Ray
