Wear the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD
“Put on God’s complete armor so that you can successfully resist all the devil’s methods of attack.”
Ephesians 6:11
We wear the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD for a reason. Ignore any part of it and we are in trouble. The military understands the importance of properly wearing the uniform and equipment. One part of it worn improperly can be a matter of life and death. How well do we know our uniform for Spiritual Warfare?
Wear the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD. Do not Ignore any part of it. Apparently Goliath didn’t think that he needed to protect his forehead. Although he was the enemy’s champion, reckless arrogance brought him down.
Those who wear the armor are told to stand. Sometimes we want to run ahead and fight when the orders are to stand still and trust God. The church of today has suffered greatly because so many are fighting their own battles without listening to God.
Some days I just want to retreat. Don’t let the devil send you running with his propaganda of exaggerated fear. Leviticus 26:36 spoke of a time when the sound of a shaking leaf would frighten the people; and they shall flee as fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall when no one is pursuing them.” How many times have we run from something that wasn’t there? Can we count the things that we have worried about that never came to pass?
When fear causes us to see things that are not there: calm down and pray. Then you can see that the Lord is near. “Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the enemy or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater our our side!” 2 Chronicles 32:7
“Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you;
You dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armor,
And, watching unto prayer,
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there.”
